VIDEO: Hard working servo owner slams armed robbers

THE owner of the United service station that was robbed at knife-point on Friday night has slammed the alleged offenders.

Two Warwick men, one aged 19 and the other 18, have been charged with separate offences, after the 19-year-old allegedly produced a knife at the Helene St business around 8.30pm, before the two men fled the scene with almost $600 cash.

Sudheer Guduru said it was devastating to have his effort wiped out.

"You work a lot of hours and put in a lot of hard work, only for these people to come and take the money in an instant," Mr Guduru said.

"These people only think about taking the money, they don't think about all the work that people have put into their business.

"These people have already been caught and hopefully anyone else thinking about doing the same thing will realise they will likely be caught too."

Mr Guduru said the employee who was behind the counter when the ordeal happened was OK.

"He's alright - he wasn't injured because he complied with the requests of the (alleged) offender," he said.

"Mentally he's OK as well, he's dealt with it well."

But Mr Guduru has no intention of letting another incident happen.

"It's only a couple of months after the United on Wallace St was robbed (at gunpoint) so it's a bit concerning," Mr Guduru said.

"The police were fantastic and I really appreciate their work to go out and catch these people.

"But I'm already looking at more lighting and more cameras to make sure this doesn't happen again in the future."

The 19-year-old man was charged with one count each of armed robbery and possession of a utensil, while the 18-year-old was charged with one count of armed robbery in company.
