Women's network throwing first Black Tie Gala

THE Professional Women's Network Chinchilla is celebrating their first year in the best way they know how - by going all out with a big Black Tie Gala ball.

"PWNC is cementing their place in the Chinchilla community as a successful organisation to inspire women and be a place for them to learn and connect,” chairperson Kimberley Lingard said.

"This is a exciting new event we are thrilled to bring to Chinchilla.”

The committee is encouraging the community to frock up and look their best for the PWNC's inaugural event they hope will become a gem on Chinchilla's social calender for the years to come.

Complete with silent auctions and live musical outfit, Venice on Fire, the committee hoped the evening would give locals the opportunity to enjoy a glamorous and fun night out at the Chinchilla Cultural Centre.

"We are very much looking forward to seeing the community come out to support our first gala,” gala co-ordinator Angela Holland said.

"It is few and far between formal events in the Chinchilla community these days, so we would like to think it is particularly exciting for the ladies to get frocked up and gents to don their suits for the evening.

"It will be a wonderful opportunity for an old fashion catch up between friends as well as meet new people.

"We feel that all who attend the event will not be disappointed.

"From the delicious three-course menu designed Club Hotel chefs, to the Silent Auction where everyone is bound to see something they want to bid on, then on to music from Venice on Fire, it is sure to be a night to remember.”

Tickets to the PWNC Black Tie Gala on Saturday, August 20, are $90 per person and include a three-course meal, and can be purchased from Chinchilla Florist or from the CCCI website on www.chinchilla.org.au.
