Woman, child seriously hurt in single-vehicle crash

A WOMAN and her young son have been airlifted to Toowoomba Hospital after a single-vehicle crash on the western Darling Downs.

The woman, aged in her mid-20s, was driving the vehicle with her three children inside when it left the bitumen of the single-lane road and rolled south-west of Glenmorgan about 8am.

She suffered suspected spinal injuries while her son sustained head injuries.

Both patients were stabilised at the scene before they were airlifted to Toowoomba Hospital by the Toowoomba-based RACQ CareFlight helicopter.

The cause of the crash is unknown.
