Two charged after Gympie drug raids

POLICE have charged two men following the closure of a drug operation in Veteran, on Gympie's east side, on Friday morning.

Detectives from the Gympie Criminal Investigation Branch executed search warrants at two addresses following a protracted investigation into the alleged supply of cannabis and methyl amphetamine.

A 56-year-old man from Veteran was charged with two counts of trafficking in dangerous drugs.

A 62-year-old man from Gympie was also charged with two counts of trafficking in dangerous drugs.

Both men are scheduled to appear in the Maroochydore Magistrates Court.
