Tisani Tomso too good in the Newmarket
TISANI TOMSO has won the 2017 PCYC Dalby Newmarket, in impressive style.
Breaking the track record at Bunya Park in the process, Tisani Tomso fought off second place Heroic Action and third place Rhyme Nor Rhythm.
The 57kg weight was not an issue for Tisani Tomso who looked to be fading in the straight, before galloping away with the win.
Ridden by jockey Sally Sweeney, she said the horse was fabulous and she was happy to get the win for trainer Kevin Kemp.
"He is a tough horse,” Sweeney said.
"With 250 metres left I had horses come up to him. I gave him a good dig and he did really well.”
"I am also really happy that I could get this win for Mr Kemp.”
This win is the second in 2017 for the six-year-old from Toowoomba, which adds to his two other placings in Toowoomba and Brisbane.
