Ticky truck cattle found

TWO cattle that came off a truck carrying ticky livestock near Guluguba on Saturday have been located.

A Biosecurity Queensland spokesman confirmed the cattle were found this morning by a property owner, who had been alerted by Biosecurity Queensland the heifers could be in the area.

"They will be transported to the Taroom clearing dip for inspection and treating,” the spokesman said.

"Biosecurity Queensland will work with the property owner to assess what risk there may be on the property where the cattle were found.”

"We gratefully acknowledge the efforts of the property owner in securing the cattle and immediately contacting the DAF office at Dalby.”
