This week's pound pets

IN AN attempt to reduce the number of unclaimed animals impounded in the region, Chinchilla News has joined forces with the Western Downs Regional Council for Western Downs Pound Pets.

The initiative, which is featured every Thursday, aims to find new homes for animals the council is unable to reunite with their owners and to promote responsible pet ownership on the Western Downs.

BALL OF FUR: This long-hair boy is thought to be a terrier cross. He is between two and three years old and very friendly and playful.

All impounded animals are microhipped by Council before they go to their new homes.

DOE EYED: This quiet and docile long-haired terrier cross would make the perfect companion for an older person. She is thought to be at least two years old.
