TEENAGERS have allegedly stolen two vehicles from a childcare centre and smashed one into a power pole in Hervey Bay.

Two of three teenagers believed to be involved in the incident have been taken into police custody.

Hervey Bay police station Acting Sergeant Richard Whatman said a neighbour on Tavistock St heard a vehicle start about 10pm Sunday.

Acting Sgt Whatman alleged the teenagers broke into a building using tools where they found keys to the vehicles parked in the driveway.

It is alleged one of the teenagers involved then smashed the vehicle into a power pole on Torquay Tce soon after.

A 13-year-old was taken to Hervey Bay Hospital with minor injuries.

Anyone with information should call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
