Teenagers arrested in dramatic early-morning car chase

POLICE have apprehended two teenagers following a dramatic chase near the Warrego Highway at Minden.

The drama started when a stolen white Hyundai Excel was involved in a collision with another vehicle while travelling the wrong way up the highway west of Ipswich about 5.50am on Wednesday.

Two youths were seen running from the scene, prompting police to call in the dog squad.

The foot chase continued up Two Tree Hill Rd, Minden, before police lost track of the car thieves, however a witness later spotted the suspects at Tallegalla Rd.

Police took two boys aged 15 and 16 into custody a short time later.

Investigations are continuing.
