Swansea stuns Man U as Ayew and Gomis fire

HAVING beaten Manchester United twice last season, another 2-1 victory saw Swansea become just the sixth team in Premier League history to win three successive matches against the Red Devils.

United went ahead early in the second half through Juan Mata, before goals to man-of-the-match Andre Ayew and Bafetimbi Gomis kept Swansea's unbeaten season record intact.

Manager Louis van Gaal, in his 50th game in charge of Man U, said he believed his team had dominated most of the match, despite the result.

"We controlled the game for 85 minutes, but we lost in five minutes and that cannot happen," said the Dutchman, who said his team wouldn't make any panic signings.

In yesterday morning's other result, a Graziano Pelle strike and two goals from Dusan Tadic gave Southampton a 3-0 win over Norwich, its first victory of the 2015-16 season.
