'Showing' off the best of Tara

TARA'S 83rd annual country show certainly kept the small-town spirit alive last weekend with plenty of activities for the whole family.

Alongside the usual chainsaw and yabbie races this year's event welcomed a brand new event to the mix and it certainly wasn't one to turn your nose up at.

The Tara show bedpan race was a sight to behold as several couples battled it out to take home the prestigious title of champion bedpan runners.

The maiden race was designed to help raise some extra coin for the Show Auxiliary who generously support the Tara Hospital throughout the year.
