Shoppers go nuts for new Bunnings item

We've been decorating and organising our homes more than ever during lockdown - and now there's one Bunnings item shoppers are going nuts for as they renovate.

A statement rattan chair from the DIY store is popping up all over Instagram as people show off the stunning piece in their homes.

The $159 item, which is made by Home Bazar for the homewares store, has been likened to a "peacock" thanks to its fanned out backrest and is a piece many are saying is an "investment" that will transform your living space.

"@homebazar_ have the most stunning rattan range at @bunnings and WOW it is affordable," one wrote on Instagram.

"I am honestly in love with this chair," another wrote.

"Spotted this gorgeous rattan petal chair by @homebazar_ at Bunnings over the weekend and couldn't resist," one delighted shopper said.

Many said they were "obsessed" with the piece of furniture with others describing it as "beautiful," and "dreamy".

The collection of Home Bazar items was first spotted in stores in April and are eco friendly and ethically sourced.

On Instagram, some have shared pictures of it being used as a desk chair while working from home, while others have used outside to enjoy a picnic in the sunshine, proving just how versatile it is.

Some have even given the chair a lick of paint to take the affordable item to the next-level in home styling, with white proving popular to revamp the original black metal legs.

Other rattan items in the range include a side table for $79 and a stool for $59.

Back in March, Bunnings hit the headlines when it announced Aussies wouldn't be able to snag an iconic sausage sizzle when shopping because of the coronavirus pandemic.
