Season's end for Condamine/Chinchilla junior rugby union

THE Condamine and Chinchilla Junior Rugby Union U7s have played their final carnival for the season - and possibly forever if they don't get more numbers next year.

The side only managed to field four players throughout the season, which meant that Luke Stuart, Jack Green, Darcy Shepherd and Freddie Shephard regularly combined with the Toowoomba City Bears to make up a full team.

At Saturday's closing carnival in Dalby, the boys played Toowoomba South, Dalby and Highfields.

"They did really well and they clicked towards the end with Jack Green playing what you'd call half back and Darcy playing full back and Freddie and Luke doing a lot of the forward work,” Coach Greg Stuart said.

Stuart said he was looking for more juniors for both U6 and U8 teams next season. For more information phone him on 0427 286 321.
