Principal wishes year 12 graduates ‘peace not perfection’
AS ANOTHER school year draws to a close St George State High School say farewell and good luck to their 2019 cohort of year 12s.
Acting Deputy Principal Deb Addison said this year was one of the school’s smallest graduating classes, with only 13 students.
“As the last group going through the current QCE system they are the last OP students,” she said.
“They have dealt with joint activities and always been able to share their experiences with others.”
Ms Addison said all 13 students received their QCE and QCIA and all but one student have also gained a VET qualification.
As for some wise words to commemorate their departure from adolescence and into the adult world, she had this to say:
“I wish them the best with their future endeavours and hope they remember that they have the ability to change pathways if and when they want.
“Seek peace not perfection, perfection is an unachievable state and instead of getting worried about things that you cannot control be at peace that you have made the right choice and trust in yourself.”
