Woman caught with meth stash in surprising place
Amy Melissa Alderson, 30, pleaded guilty in Rockhampton Magistrates Court today after a police search found methamphetamine in her bra.
The court heard in August this year, the defendant and a passenger were intercepted by police on Card St, Berserker.
During a search, police found two clip sealed bags in Alderson's bra containing 0.32 grams of meth and one bag under her seat containing 0.1 grams of meth.
The defendant, who has a history of drug charges, claimed to police the drugs found under her seat weren't hers.
Alderson's defence lawyer told the court she turned to drugs due to trauma from an armed robbery in 2012, but wants to "break the habit".
Magistrate Cameron Press told Alderson she must address her drug problem for herself and her children.
The defendant was sentenced to 11 months probation and will participate in drug rehabilitation.
