Police release CCTV images of Ipswich robbery

DETECTIVES are investigating the armed robbery of a service station at Flinders View in Ipswich on Saturday night.

Police said that at 7.50pm a man, armed with a baseball bat, confronted staff at the Ash Street business before demanding the male employee hand over money from the till.

The store attendant complied with his demands and the man fled the scene with a sum of cash.

The man is described as being Caucasian in appearance, about 175cm tall and wearing a dark jumper, maroon pants, balaclava, and sneakers and carrying a backpack.

No one was physically injured during the incident.

Detectives have released CCTV images of the man as they continue their investigations into the incident.
