Police manhunt for knife-wielding home invaders in Kingaroy

POLICE are appealing for public assistance to find three men who entered a Kingaroy house and robbed the residents at knife point.

The men entered the Haly St home through an unlocked back door about 11pm on Saturday.

Detective Sergeant Dane Sheraton said four people were at home during the robbery.

"One of the offenders has produced a knife, making threats to the occupants and demanding property," he said.

The thieves took wallets and jewellery before leaving through the back door.

Sgt Sheraton urged anyone who saw anything suspicious at the eastern end of Haly St on Saturday night, or anyone with information that might help police find the offenders, to phone Kingaroy Criminal Investigation Branch on 4160 4900.

Reports can be made anonymously to Crime Stoppers by phoning 1800 333 000.
