Players set for battle at Travis Mitchell Cup

AFL: Don't forget to head down to the Chinchilla Recreation grounds tonight to watch the highly-anticipated Travis Mitchell Cup.

Kicking off at 7pm the game is held to honour the late Travis Mitchell, a key founder of the Chinchilla Suns AFL club.

Chinchilla Suns president Troy Wischnat said both teams had a full list in what looked to be a big night with an anticipated turnout of more than 400 people.

"We've got the advantage this year compared to last year because there's no other events happening in down,” Wischnat said.

"We've got a full bar and canteen so all your standard hot chips and steak burgers and some pumpkin soup for tonight being a cold night.”

The club will also hold a raffle for a $250 voucher for Gleesons Meats.
