HUNDREDS gathered for this morning's Dawn Service in Chinchilla.
Chinchilla RSL Sub Branch president Bill Belcher spoke of the horrors of WWI, making special mention of the Battle of Bullecourt, which occurred 100 years ago.
He chronicled our diggers' journey through the theatres of WWI, before calling on Pastor Tanya Errey to say a prayer.
After the laying of the wreaths, Maria Cousins sounded The Last Post, and then the crowd fell silent in contemplation.
The mid-morning Anzac Day service will be preceded by the Anzac Day March, which begins at 10.45am.
The service begins at 11am at Fuller Place.
