35 min: Corey Oates scores after leaping high to grab the ball from a great kick from Cooper Cronk. Cameron Smith misses conversion. NSW 6-4

39 min: Another break by Fifita takes the Blues to 40m out. Instead of kicking on the fifth tackle NSW spreads the ball. An inside pass from Wade Graham sends James Tedesco through a hole. Beautiful pass inside for Mitchell Pearce to score under the posts. Maloney converts. NSW 12-4

51 min: Pearce comes off with head knock.

52 min: Individual brilliance and show of strength by Tedesco who scoots down the short side to score. Maloney converts. NSW 18-4

55 min: Justin O'Neill spills a ball on his own tryline and Fifita picks up the scraps to score a deserved try. Maloney converts. NSW 24-4
