New GoT teaser reveals historic scene
A fresh clip from the final season of Game of Thrones has dropped and fans are going crazy over a never-before-seen moment.
The hugely anticipated eighth season of the Emmy award-winning fantasy epic, which will air on Foxtel in April, is set to feature a historic scene, with brief footage from the show revealing Daenerys Targaryen and Sansa Stark meeting for the first time ever.
After months with no new information about the final series, HBO has released the first major teaser which shows Sansa (Sophie Turner) declaring Winterfell's allegiance to Dany (Emilia Clarke).
"Winterfell is yours, your grace," she says to the Mother of Dragons in the short clip.
Jon Snow, portrayed by Kit Harrington, is also in the scene standing next to Dany.
The three power players are in Winterfell, where many are gathering to fight the Army of the Dead in what will no doubt be an epic battle as the series comes to its conclusion.
What that conclusion will be is anyone's guess, with actors and producers sworn to secrecy for the hit show's final season, which will comprise six episodes.
While there are a string of varying plot lines that remain unanswered as we head into the finale, including the uncertainty around Jon's true identity, the biggest question on everyone's lips is who will end up sitting on the Iron Throne, with millions of fan theories circulating online as the countdown begins.
Game of Thrones has become one of the biggest shows on the planet thanks to its unpredictable storylines and outlandish plots.
The phenomenon is based on the best-selling book series by George R.R. Martin, and was created by David Benioff and D.B. Weiss.
For those not yet on the GoT bandwagon, the first seven seasons are available to view on demand on Foxtel Now.
