Music from Stage and Screen tickets selling fast
TIME is running out to get your tickets to one of Chinchilla’s biggest performances of the year.
From darkest Mordor to revolutionary Paris, Music from Stage and Screen will feature your favourite melodies from a range of famous film and stage productions, such as Lord of the Rings, Pirates of the Caribbean, Phantom of the Opera, Les Miserables and more.
A combined performance from the Chinchilla Concert Band and South Burnett Community Orchestra in the Chinchilla Cultural Centre, the evening will also feature a three-course sit down dinner – catered by the Palms Restaurant – and a licensed bar.
Since the idea for a combined performance first formed late last year, both groups have put in 20 hours of combined practice and over 60 hours as individual ensembles.
Chinchilla Concert Band musical director Matthew Owen said the performance was a musical opportunity not to be repeated this year.
“It’s suitable for the whole family and you won’t be disappointed,” he said.
Tickets are $50 a head and are available from Chinchilla 1 Hour Photos and must be purchased by June 15 for catering purposes. The performance takes place on Saturday, June 18, with doors opening at 5.30pm.
