BREAKING: Middle Ridge woman Nolene Hodgson has been found alive after spending four  days in rugged bushland in extreme temperatures.

Darling Downs Acting Inspector Steven Steward said Ms Hodgson, 60, walked with police and paramedics from the dense scrub this afternoon.

While dehydrated, he said Ms Hodgson was alive and was being treated by paramedics.

Ms Hodgson had last been seen on Sunday leaving a Gowrie Junction home.

When she had failed to make contact with family, a missing person report was filed with police triggering a large-scale search of the area off Nelson St.

It is understood Ms Hodgson was found in an area along Ramsay and Nelson St this afternoon.
