Man offered a lift before being allegedly beaten, robbed

THREE men allegedly offered a man a lift before beating and robbing him and then leaving him stranded in Redbank Plains.

Police said the man was at a hotel in Redbank Plains on Friday night when the trio offered to drive him to Springfield Central.

The man told police he was instead taken to Cudgee St, punched in the face and robbed.

He was taken to Ipswich Hospital and was treated for facial injuries.

Two 26-year-old men, both from Redbank Plains, have been charged with robbery with violence.

A 19-year-old man from Redbank Plains has been charged with robbery with violence and possession of utensils.
