Man in tractor accident airlifted to hospital

A MAN, 63, was airlifted to the Rockhampton Hospital after he fell off his tractor and went under the wheels on Saturday about 5pm.

The RACQ Capricorn Helicopter Rescue Service left the base at 5.37pm to attend the accident at Ubobo, south of Gladstone.

The man had inadvertently activated the gear lever whilst mounting the tractor, and fell off under the rear wheels.

He was stabilised and treated on scene, before being transported by the RACQ Capricorn Helicopter Rescue Service to hospital for further treatment.
