Jury deliberates in Ipswich Court bomb threat case
A JURY was still deliberating late Friday afternoon during a trial for a Redbank Plains man who is accused of threatening to kill a magistrate and blow up the Ipswich court house.
Steven Roy Evans, 37, has pleaded not guilty to nine charges including stalking and using a carriage service to threaten to kill and threaten to cause serious harm.
It was alleged he was behind a series of threatening emails that were sent to Ipswich courthouse in February 2013.
Lawyers gave closing submissions on Thursday and Judge Michael Burnett finished summing up the case on Friday morning.
The jury continued deliberating into Friday night.
