Historic Qld film to go on show in Miles

A TIME capsule of vintage film from the State Library of Queensland accompanied by a live score is set to come to Miles on Wednesday.

The Queensland at Home tour will travel to 42 communities this year, creating an evocative portrait of life in Queensland through film, and music composed by Robert Davidson and performed by Topology.

In addition to the live performances, the tour will incorporate 45 workshops as part of the Top Up Music Education program, facilitating local students and community participants to compose their own live score to be featured at the performance alongside Queensland at Home.

More than 4000 people are expected to engage and participate, making this venture one of the largest tours for Topology to date.

Performing in a range of iconic venues, Topology would like to invite residents to help preserve Queensland's history and be a part of Queensland at Home - in a call out for vintage home movies and photographs.

Queensland at Home will be in Miles on Wednesday, September 12, at the William Mile Memorial Hall at 7pm. Visit topologymusic.com for tickets.
