Catamaran stuck balancing on river rock wall all day
AFTER hanging in the balance all day, this catamaran has now floated away safely.
The vessel was spotted resting on the rock wall on the southern side of the Pioneer River at 3pm.
At the time, Water Police and Mackay's Volunteer Marine Rescue group were not notified of the incident.
After the Daily Mercury notified the Whitsunday Water Police, an investigation was sparked.

Within a few minutes a Water Police spokesman said he had contacted the owner and reported that he was safe and well.
"A rope had become tangled around his prop, which meant he couldn't manoeuvre the vessel," he said.
The spokesman advised it was best for all boaties to notify Water Police of incidents, even if they were minor.
