Jason Day to join Adam Scott, Leishman at Presidents Cup

GOLF: World No.3 Jason Day will join fellow Aussies Adam Scott and Marc Leishman at next month's Presidents Cup clash with the United States after being chosen in the automatic top 10 spots by captain Nick Price.

Three more Australians, Matt Jones, Steven Bowditch and John Senden, are also candidates to make the team in South Korea next month, when Price makes his two captain's picks today.

Making up the rest of the team are South Africans Louis Oosthuizen, Branden Grace and Charl Scwhartzel, Japan's Hideki Matsuyama and debutants Anirban Lahiri (India), Thongchai Jaidee (Thailand) and Danny Lee (New Zealand).

The 10 Americans on the squad so far are world No. 1 Jordan Spieth, with Bubba Watson, Jimmy Walker, Zach Johnson, Jim Furyk, Rickie Fowler, Dustin Johnson, Patrick Reed, Matt Kuchar and Chris Kirk.

Jay Haas could choose son Bill as one captain's pick.
