Foodworks closed after early morning oil cooker fire

FOODWORKS Chinchilla will be closed today after an oil cooker fire early this morning.

Queensland Fire and Emergency Services were called to the grocery store at the corner of Windmill Rd and Glasson St just before 6am.

A fire had broken out in the oil cooker and was extinguished on arrival.

QFES crews helped remove the cooker to ventilate the store of lingering smoke.

In a notice to its Facebook page, Foodworks Chinchilla said the store was closed for the day and apologised for the inconvenience.

No-one was injured in the incident.
