First look at Thor: Ragnarok
NORSE god Thor appears to be out of his depth in the first look at Marvel's third Thor film, Ragnarok.
The teaser trailer, which has already been viewed more than five million times since it was uploaded last night, shows super villain Hela, played by Cate Blanchett, attacking Thor's home Asgard and destroying his magical hammer.
Thor is then taken captive by a mysterious group and declared a 'contender'.
In a humorous moment, Thor is forced into a ring to fight gladiator-style - only to discover his opponent is The Hulk.
He exclaims: "We know each other; he's a friend from work."
It appears Thor's adopted brother/villain Loki is also against him, pictured enjoying the 'main event' fight alongside Jeff Goldblum's Grandmaster character.
Filmed on the Gold Coast and in Brisbane, which was turned into a New York streetscape, Thor: Ragnarok is directed by Kiwi filmmaker Taika Waititi.
Thor: Ragnarok is due for release on October 26.
