AT least 27 people are dead and dozens injured after a giant explosion ripped through a market in Mexico.
The blast in the San Pablito market in Tultepec ripped through stalls, leaving over 70 people injured, according to the Mirror.
Some victims were suffering burns to more than 90 per cent of their bodies. Victims were airlifted to hospital.

Video footage taken from a distance managed to capture the explosion, as a plume of smoke filled the air and fireworks went off in all directions.
State police told media at least 27 people were dead as a result.
Tultepec is north of Mexico City and is famous for its fireworks industry. The town hosts an annual National Pyrotechnic Festival.
In 2006 and 2007 there were explosions that destroyed the entire market, according to local media.
