THE family of missing Queensland police officer Mick Isles have asked a court to reopen the inquest into his disappearance.
They want the verdict of suicide set aside in favour of an open verdict.
Senior Sergeant Isles vanished in September 2009 after leaving his home in Ayr in North Queensland to go on a routine work trip.
He had just returned to work after being cleared of corruption allegations following a year-long investigation by the Crime and Misconduct Commission (CMC).
