Man seriously injured in roll-over

UPDATE 7.20AM: THE Forensic Crash Unit is investigating after a man suffered serious injuries following a single vehicle traffic crash in Grandchester early this morning.

Preliminary investigations indicate at 2.40am, a blue 2009 Holden Commodore sedan was traveling along Rosewood-Laidley Road when it went round a sharp bend, crashed through a culvert and metal fence, and then rolled multiple times.

The 28-year-old male driver and sole occupant had to be cut from the vehicle and was transported to the Princess Alexandra Hospital with serious chest, head and pelvic injuries.

INITIAL: A DRIVER has been taken to hospital with head, chest and pelvic injuries following a single vehicle roll-over at Grandchester early this morning.

Emergency services were called to the crash on Ipswich Rd just before 3am and firies had to cut off the car roof to free the patient.

They were taken to the PA Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
