BRISBANE councillor Nicole Johnston has been charged with being drunk in a public place.
She is due to appear in Brisbane Magistrates Court to face the charge on Monday morning.
The independent councillor for Tennyson, who has been ejected from the council chamber 39 times since 2010, was arrested in Ann Street in the CBD about 1am Saturday.
A police spokeswoman confirmed the charge on Monday morning.
"A 43-year-old Sherwood woman has been charged with one count of being intoxicated in a public place in the city and will appear in Brisbane Magistrates Court today," she said.
