MELBOURNE young gun Angus Brayshaw has been given time off by the AFL club as he continues to recover from a fourth concussion in 12 months.
The 21-year-old Brayshaw, who was taken with pick No.3 in the 2014 draft, suffered his latest head knock on May 14 during a VFL match and has been ruled out indefinitely.
"I caught up with Angus last week and he's having a small period away from the club, just to recover from his latest head knock," Jones said.
"I think he'll probably take a period of time out of the game, as long as that is I'm not too sure at this stage.
"I guess there's a process of getting tests and seeing how he's progressing with the normal SCAT (concussion) testing and whether that testing goes to another level.
"We expect (him) to getting back playing again."
Brayshaw has played just 33 AFL games since making his debut last year. He played the first two rounds this year.
