Head injuries after truck and car collide on major road
One person has been taken to hospital with head injuries after a collision between a truck and a car.
The crash, on the Caloundra-Mooloolaba Rd at Meridan Plains, was believed to be a head-on collision.
Paramedics rushed to the scene after the crash was reported at 4.23pm, and took one patient with head injuries to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.
Meanwhile, another ambulance crew was unable to locate a reported crash on Caloundra Rd.
BREAKING: Two crashes have been reported within five minutes in a chaotic afternoon for emergency services.
Paramedics were called to a reported two-vehicle traffic crash at Meridan Plains, on Kawana Way, about 4.20pm.
Less than five minutes later, a 000 caller reported another two-vehicle crash at Caloundra, on Caloundra Rd.
