Brisbane ice cream shop held up at gunpoint

POLICE are investigating the armed robbery of an ice-cream shop in the Brisbane suburb of Albany Creek on Friday morning.

Around 10.10am, a man entered the shop on Albany Creek Road, armed with a firearm.

Police said he made demands for money, the attendant complied and the man fled the scene with a sum of cash.

The man drove away in an older model white Hyundai hatchback, towards Old Northern Road.

No-one was physically injured as a result of the robbery.

Investigations are continuing.
