TUESDAY 12PM: THE young boy hit by a car on Drayton St, Dalby, on Monday afternoon is recovering in Toowoomba Hospital. 

Senior Sergeant of Dalby Police, Terry McCullough, told media on Tuesday, the seven-year-old Dalby boy had sustained a fractured leg after running into the side of the car. 

Snr Sgt McCullough said it was a coincidence the incident happened at the same intersection as a fatal accident on Sunday, March 4. 

"I have been talking with his mum, she is with him down in Toowoomba Hospital. he has a fracture to his left leg he is about to (have) set," Snr Sgt McCullough said.  

"Other than that he has some minor scratches and bruises." 

Snr Sgt McCullough told media, the young boy had run-away from home, and his mother and police were searching for him at the time of the accident. 

 

MONDAY 9.05PM: A YOUNG boy who was hit by a car on Drayton St in Dalby on Monday afternoon, has been transported to Toowoomba Hospital.  

A Queensland Ambulance spokesman said the seven-year-old boy was taken to Toowoomba from Dalby in a stable condition with injuries to his legs. 

The boy was in Dalby hospital after being hit by a car at the intersection of Drayton and Arthur Sts, just after 5pm on Monday.

UPDATE, 6.30PM: A SEVEN-YEAR-OLD boy has been taken to Dalby Hospital, after being hit by a car in Dalby on Monday afternoon. 

Reports came in just after 5pm, that a vehicle had hit a pedestrian at the intersection of Drayton and Arthur Sts. 

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokesman confirmed a seven-year-old boy had been hit by a car. 

The spokesman said the young boy had suffered possible leg injuries and was taken to Dalby Hospital in a stable condition. 

A spokesman for the Queensland Police said police were investigating the incident. 

This is the second accident at the same intersection in less than a fortnight, which has involved a child being hit by a vehicle.

MONDAY, 5.55PM: REPORTS have emerged at least one person has been taken to Dalby Hospital, after a traffic accident at the intersection of Drayton and Arthur Sts. 

A Queensland Ambulance Spokeswoman said crews were called out to an incident at 5.06pm, after reports of a vehicle and pedestrian accident. 

The spokeswoman said there had been a transfer to Dalby Hospital, but there was no more information provided at the time. 

This report comes after Dalby boy, Shykarn, 4, was fatally hit at the same intersection on Sunday, March 4.
