Truck carrying horses swerved to avoid merging car
UPDATE: A Warwick woman has had a lucky escape from a harrowing semi-trailer rollover at East Greenmount this morning.
Cambooya police Senior Constable Matt Lewis said the van had been travelling toward Toowoomba from Warwick on the New England Hwy when she was forced to brake suddenly to avoid a collision with a merging vehicle.
The weight of the truck and the two horses in the gooseneck trailer forced it to roll.
The woman was uninjured and the two horses have been treated for suspected minor injuries by a vet.
Snr Const. Matt Lewis said this morning's incident was a timely reminder for motorists to be mindful of heavy vehicles and to allow time for them to stop and merge.
Investigations are continuing.
