New COVID-19 case confirmed in Hervey Bay

A NEW case of coronavirus has been confirmed in Hervey Bay.

It was one of two cases reported in the Wide Bay health region today, the other being in Bundaberg.

Queensland Health announced nine cases of the disease had been confirmed today, bringing the state total to 943.

Contact tracing is underway.

The announcement brings the Wide Bay region's total to 22 confirmed cases.
