Wednesday 1pm: The 13-year-old girl missing from Ferny Grove has been located safe and well.

Queensland Police have thanked the media and the public for their assistance.

Identifying details have been removed from earlier updates as the missing girl has been located.

8:47pm: The 13-year-old girl is no longer believed to be travelling to Gladstone.

Queensland Police have updated the details of their media release to indicate the missing girl may have travelled to the Sunshine Coast instead.

No further details have been released at this time.

12:59pm: A 13-year-old girl missing from Ferny Grove, north west of Brisbane, could be travelling to Gladstone.

Queensland Police are seeking public assistance to help locate the girl.

She was last seen at Ferny Grove train station at 2.17am this morning, May 2.

It is believed that the girl may be travelling by train between Brisbane and Gladstone.

Police and family hold concerns for her welfare due to her age and she has not made contact with anyone since.
