Baby born on plane gets the ultimate birthday gift
A NEWBORN'S in-flight birth aboard a Jet Airways plane landed the baby the ultimate birthday gift - free air travel with the airline for life.
The baby boy was born Sunday aboard the 162-passenger plane travelling from Saudi Arabia to India, New Delhi Television Limited reported.
The child's mother unexpectedly went into labour as the plane was still over the Arabian Sea at an altitude of 35,000 feet.
Crew members and a nurse, who was among the passengers aboard the flight, helped the mother deliver the baby.
The plane diverted to Mumbai and the mother and child were rushed to a local hospital in a stable condition, according to the news outlet.
Jet Airways, a full-service international Indian airline that flies to 65 destinations, made the announcement of its lifetime air travel gift to the baby in a humorous tweet.
