Thrift shop party

CLUB Hotel patrons will dress up in clothing from yesteryear tomorrow night for the Club Hotel Thrift Shop Party.

Prizes will be awarded for best dressed on the night and DJ Jase will play music throughout the night.

Chinchilla markets

THE monthly Chinchilla Markets will be held again on Sunday morning.

The markets are a great place to find a unique present for an upcoming birthday, or just a chance to be out with the family enjoying the atmosphere.

The event is held outside of the Chinchilla Information Centre, Warrego Hwy, and will run from early in the morning until midday.

Seniors Week

A WEEK dedicated to celebrating the community's senior members is being held next week, and Western Downs Regional Council will hold events to celebrate.

On Monday, August 21, there will be a luncheon at the Leichhardt Centre, Miles.

On Tuesday, August 22, there will be a quiz and afternoon tea at the Jandowe Cultural Centre, Jandowae.

On Wednesday, August 23, morning tea will be served at the Tara Soldiers' Memorial Hall, Tara.

On Thursday, August 24, there will be a morning tea at the Chinchilla Cultural Centre, Chinchilla.

Pop-up shop

RURAL entrepreneurs will have an opportunity to sell and promote their products, as the Pop Up Country Shop returns to Wandoan.

The shop invites locals to sell their goods to the public in a shop-front in the main street.

The shop opens for one afternoon every three months, with the aim of giving all kinds of rural entrepreneurs an opportunity to sell and promote their products

The shop will be open on Wednesday, August 23, from 3-7pm.
