Wandoan camel races

CHECK out all the action at the family-friendly Wandoan camel races this weekend. This year's races will feature five camel races, ridden by nominated jockeys, with the winner of each race progressing to the final for a chance to win a week's holiday on the Gold Coast. There will also be rides and entertainment for children, a track side marquee with cocktails, canapes and live music, Picnic and Pimms area, fashions on the field, full operating bar and canteen and courtesy bus. Festivities will continue into the night with a new program feature of miniature pig races, kid's club with disco and movie for the kids and entertainment until late by a live band.

Scouts 80th fete

JOIN the Chinchilla Scouts and help them celebrate their 80th anniversary in the town. There will be good food, entertainment and plenty of fun for the family.

At noon, there will be a parade for the new venturer scout group (14-18 years of age) which will be officially launched and the youth members inducted.
