Anonymous tip-off leads to massive cannabis seizure

AN ANONYMOUS Crimestoppers tip-off has led to the seizure of more than 1.1kg of cannabis, two unregistered firearms and a quantity of ammunition.

Police raided a rural property at Fairyland around 11.30am on Monday, locating more than 25 bags of cannabis and plants.

A 45-year-old woman and a 32-year-old man have been charged with numerous drug offences, including possessing dangerous drugs, producing dangerous drugs, and unlawfully possessing firearms.

They will both face Chinchilla Magistrates Court on an upcoming date.

Constable Justin Drier said the only reason the seizure was made was thanks to information from the public.
