Bulldogs and Saints go head-to-head for 2014 premiership glory

CHINCHILLA Bulldogs A-grade will face-off against St George Saints on Sunday for 2014 premiership glory.

The minor premiers had their Chinchilla supporters worried after a preliminary finals loss to the Saints, but they downed Roma Cities 22-18 on Sunday to secure their grand final spot.

Chinchilla's under-16s also played on Sunday for their chance at a grand final game.

The team's season was finished with a loss to Mitchell, 19-36.

The seniors will be joined in Roma this Sunday by the Bulldogs reserves.

Reserves coach, Andrew Hammermeister, said his team hoped to put the finishing touches on their undefeated season when they come up against Cities.

RDRL Grand Final times for the weekend:

  • All games to be played in Roma on Sunday.
  • 10.30am- Under 16 Cities v Mitchell
  • 11.50am- Under 18 Cities v St. George
  • 1.30pm- Reserve grade Chinchilla v Cities
  • 3.15pm- A grade Chinchilla v St George
